ABOUT ME
Hi, i'm michelle
I’m an Interior Designer specialising in sensory-led spaces that feel calm, restorative and deeply connected to the people living within them.
My approach to design goes beyond aesthetics alone. I believe our homes have the power to shape how we feel every day, emotionally, physically and energetically.
Through the use of thoughtful materials, lighting, texture, spatial flow and atmosphere, I help clients create spaces that not only look beautiful, but genuinely support wellbeing, comfort and everyday living.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve designed homes that reflect not just my clients’ style, but how they want to feel within their space.
Because to me, great design isn’t about perfection.
It’s about creating spaces people can truly exhale in.
My connection to sensory design began in a deeply personal way.
When my eldest son was diagnosed with autism, I began experiencing our home differently. I became increasingly aware of how lighting, sound, layout, texture and visual overwhelm could affect comfort, regulation and a sense of safety within a space.
That experience completely reshaped the way I approached interiors.
I began to understand that design isn’t just visual, it’s sensory.
And that our environments can profoundly influence our nervous systems, emotions and overall wellbeing.
Now, sensory-led design sits at the heart of my work.
I’m passionate about creating spaces that feel calm, emotionally supportive and intentionally designed for the people experiencing them.
Whether that’s a family home, boutique accommodation or a wellness-inspired retreat space.
Because no two people experience a space in the same way.
My role is to thoughtfully understand how you want to live, feel and move within your environment and to help create a space that feels deeply aligned with you.
Outside of design, you’ll usually find me by the water with my two boys, Gus and Luca, surfing or exploring the coastline we’re lucky enough to call home here in Port Stephens.
Travel, nature, wellness and slow living continue to deeply inspire the way I approach both life and design.
Thoughtful spaces begin with an intentional conversation.
