The Outcome
The clients were building their ‘forever’ family home and approached me to design and style a cohesive interior concept reflecting their contemporary and industrial tastes.
I created mood boards for each of the rooms in the house applying a uniform colour palette of greys, black, white, blues and greens throughout.
The beautiful interior was created using a mix of warm timber tones, concrete and stone bench tops. Modern matte black fixtures and finishes combined with playful splashes of colour found in the décor reinforcing the feature artwork.
Custom sheer curtains were installed to celebrate the height of the ceilings in the large living dining area softening the aesthetic of the room with their light filtering qualities.
To ensure a cohesive finish, custom cabinetry was used in the living area and repeated in the bathrooms using a modern tile and mirror choice to complement the interior aesthetic.
The end result is a modern, light-filled space, showcasing personalised choices that reflect the family’s individual style instantly becoming somewhere the family is proud to call home.

“By working with Michelle, we were able to fine tune our vision, define our style and implement this across multiple rooms.
The concepts she created for us were useful when we had to make choices on materials such as tiles, bench tops, light fittings, furniture and decorative items.
We were able to refer back to these and have confidence that our choices would complement each other.
The end result was a cohesive space that represented our style and the look we wanted to achieve. We now have a beautiful house to call home and we were able to achieve all of this without blowing our budget.”
